Advanced standing
If you are applying for an postgraduate course and have completed previous study in a relevant area at postgraduate level, you may be eligible for advanced standing. Advanced standing can be given as credit, for previous studies, or recognition of prior learning, for professional experience.
No advanced standing will be granted for study completed at undergraduate or pre-tertiary level.
If you are eligible for advanced standing you will either:
- Receive exemptions from units of study/credit points within your course; or
- Receive substitutions to enable you to study alternative subjects
