Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualifications
If you have completed study at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), such as TAFE or PIBT, then you may be able to use this study to fulfil minimum admission requirements into one of our undergraduate courses.
Furthermore - dependent on the completion level of your studies, the course structure of our course, the age of your qualifications and their relevancy to our course - you may even be eligible to receive advanced standing towards some of the credit points in our course.
We offer a Fast Track application option for RTO students who are in their last semester of study towards a Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma.
Certificate III
A completed Certificate III from an RTO meets the minimum admission requirements to our University Preparation Courses (UPC) and our Indigenous University Orientation Course (IUOC).
Certificate IV
A completed Certificate IV from an RTO meets the minimum admission requirements to our undergraduate courses.
A small number of Certificate IVs are not eligible for entry.
Diploma and Advanced Diploma
A completed Diploma / Advanced Diploma from an RTO meets the minimum admission requirements to our undergraduate courses and you may even be eligible to receive advanced standing towards some of the credit points in our course.
In most cases, you can use our Fast Track application option to reserve your place at ECU.
Fast tracking your application
If you are studying with an RTO, our Fast Track application option allows you to submit an application for admission directly to us at any time during your last semester of study - so that we can process your application early.
In most cases you are guaranteed an offer of a place at ECU in the course of your choice using this application option.
Offers are, of course, conditional on you successfully completing your RTO qualification, ensuring you meet all pre-requisites and additional requirements for our course and the availability of places.
There are a small number of ECU courses which cannot accept applications by the fast track pathway.
For more information about fast track applications visit the Fast track pathway webpage.
