Accommodation
What better way to immerse yourself in university life than by living in student housing. You can meet people from all walks of life in our student villages. ECU has a range of residential accommodation on the Mount Lawley, Joondalup and South West (Bunbury) campuses.
The Student Villages provide a modern, friendly environment in self-catering units for a total population of 366 full-time students. For information and bookings contact the Student Housing Office . Students seeking private off-campus accommodation should also contact the Student Housing Office.

Banking and travel
For your convenience ANZ ATMs are located on the Mount Lawley and Joondalup Campuses with a Bankwest ATM on the Churchlands Campus. A full-time Unicredit branch is also available on the Joondalup campus for your everyday banking needs, including loans, insurance and financial planning services.
EFTPOS facilities and Multirider tickets are available in each of the bookshops while Transperth stickers for full-time students and Westrail passes are available from Student Central.
Bookshops
ECU bookshops are available on all campuses and provide a well-stocked range of course textbooks as well as general books, stationery, magazines, stamps, newspapers, cds, greeting cards, and university memorabilia. The bookshop database is also available online, where students can puchase directly from the website at www.ecu.edu.au/bookshop
Cafeterias and coffee shops
Each metropolitan campus has an Aroma Cafe and larger cafeteria with a great selection of hot food. Joondalup Campus also has Cafe One and Cafe Six. For further details on location and opening times, please visit www.ecu.edu.au/fas/FoodServices
Careers Advisory Service
The Career Advisory Service (CAS) provides students with advice and information about employment and further study opportunities. CAS can assist you with a wide range of objectives such as career planning, course selection, and selection of majors. They can also help with job search strategies, such as how to write application letters, resumes, selection criteria and interview techniques.

Childcare facilities
Well equipped and fully accredited child care centres with professional staff are on Churchlands, Bld 11 ( 9273 8700 ), Joondalup, Bld 12 ( 6304 5680 )and Mount Lawley, Bld 26 ( 9370 6850 ) campuses. Families will need to check for availability as the centres have a waitlist.
Churchlands Campus - Edith Cowan Childcare
This centre provides a secure, loving and stimulating environment to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual and special needs of each child. Provided are:
- morning and afternoon tea
- two course lunch
- nappy service
- weekly programs to meet individual and group needs including introduction to computers in Kindy.
The centre has four qualified staff who hold relevant Early Childhood Qualifications who work with nine assistants.

Joondalup Early Learning Centre
This centre is managed by Jennifer Thompson and provides quality education programs. There is a waiting list which is revised for each semester and it is recommended to contact the centre for more detailed information.

Computer Labs
All ECU students have access 24 hours a day to on-campus computing facilities. These Megalabs are an ideal place to finish assignments, carry out research and generally provide IT access to help with your studies. The labs cater to both PC and Mac users, with all computers fully loaded with the latest software.
In addition, all ECU campuses have wireless infrastructure providing students with the ability to study anywhere, anytime.
Student Counselling
The ECU Counselling Service provides a professional and strictly confidential service free of charge to all ECU students. All counsellors are qualified psychologists who have skills and experience helping people with a wide range of personal, psychological, academic, study and financial difficulties.

Disability Services
If you have a disability or medical condition - temporary or permanent - that could affect your life at Uni, the Student Equity Officer can provide a co-ordinated service to assist you. Depending on your medical recommendations, ECU can provide a range of specialised equipment to assist you.

Student Health Service
ECU Student Health Services are available to assist students with health problems and are available on all metropolitan campuses. Services offered include GPs, nurses, physiotherapy and massage. Library
Each ECU campus has a modern library providing electronic databases, book and journal collections, e-journals, videos, computer files, and multimedia packages as well as facilities for study and research.
Students may borrow material from any metropolitan campus using the Library's self-serve Easyloan machines. Borrowing privileges also extend to the libraries of other Western Australian universities. For further details including opening hours, visit the ECU Library website.
Multifaith Chaplaincy

Modern, fully equipped sports centres are located at Joondalup and Mount Lawley. As an ECU student, you can take part in intervarsity and interfaculty sport, sporting clubs and sportibg trips.

Student Academic Support
Learning Advisers are located in each faculty and can assist you with a range of study skills and advice in preparing your assignments. The advisers conduct workshops, provide guest lectures, teach courses, prepare academic skills resources, support other academic staff in the promotion of tertiary literacy skills and see students in one-to-one and group consultations. Student Guild
The Student Guild represents students' interests on a range of issues including academic representation and legal support services. The Guild also offers a wide range of social and cultural activities to enhance the student life experience on campus - www.ecuguild.org.au
Student Central
Each campus has a Student Central desk which is the first point of reference for all student enquiries such as academic information, access cards, cashier services, enrolment information and assistance, information on other support services, lodgement of forms and parking permits - www.ecu.edu.au/student
Student Clubs/Associations
Student clubs and societies are an important part of student community life. ECU has a number of student clubs which are sponsored by ECU's Student Guild, Sports and Recreation, Faculties and Centres providing assistance with funding, administrative support or facilities.
Taverns
For the over 18s, ECU has taverns known as "ECUBARS' at Churchlands, Joondalup and Mount Lawley Campuses. Throughout the year, various social activities and bands are organised at the Taverns by the Student Guild.
