Designed for school leavers and mature age students, the UPC prepares people for entry to ECU degree programs by giving them the required skills and confidence for university study.
Units taken over six months full time or twelve months part time, cover learning at university, research and writing processes, numeracy skills and accessing knowledge.
This semester there have been several changes to the admission requirements which means a broader cross section of the community now has the opportunity to study at ECU.
In semester 2, 2005, the UPC will run at both Mount Lawley and Bunbury Campuses. Applications are now open and can be made direct to ECU. To see if you are eligible to apply or for more information contact Student Recruitment on (61 8) 6304 6304 or click here.

Nearly 5000 people visited ECU's Joondalup Campus on Sunday 1 May, where special guest Adam Spencer stole the show.
Acting as a mentor, the well-known comedian and disk jockey inspired mostly school leavers, parents and teachers who related to his comic outlook on a time of serious decision making.
“Sure I learnt all there is to know about applied trigonometry – but it was the broader skills that I developed through immersing myself in the culture of university life, that have taken me places I never imagined,” he said.
“I think there's too much focus on TER scores these days. People are doing courses just because they got the right marks, rather than pursuing a career in what they love or what they are genuinely good at.
“That's the key to having an enriching University life and a fulfilling career.”
Pictures from the day can be viewed at www.ecugreatcareers.com/eculive. If you missed out on ECU Live! Joondalup, you can still obtain all the course info you need by visiting ECU Live! Mount Lawley in conjunction with WAAPA's Open Day on Sunday 31 July. |
